The mission of the Winnie Watson Foundation is to further the passions of Winnie and her talents for play by making early childhood education, dance, art, and opportunities for creative and outside play more accessible to all children.

Recent Events:

We had a great turnout for our event at Canyon Rim Cares day in July. We had so many volunteers show up to help us paint our mural and to donate to the Sammy Center. We want to especially thank Kate Scribner and the other artists that gifted us with their time and talents for the mural. It looks incredible and is the perfect embodiment of our sweet Winnie. Bright, colorful, playful and beautiful. It means so much for our family and community to have this beautiful mural to honor her and to beautify Canyon Rim Park. We were also able to have hundreds of children create art to be wrapped on utility boxes throughout Millcreek. Winnie loved creating art so this felt like a natural way to honor her.

We're happy to announce that we were able to gift the Sammy Center with $3000 to be used for scholarships for children wanting to attend preschool. We exceeded our initial goal and were so grateful for such a loving and supportive community. School was such a special place for Winnie and we know she would love helping other kids get the opportunity to attend and love it just as much as she did.
